Project for the valorization of by-products through the research of innovative routes: EXTRAVAL

We participate in a national consortium project of industrial research of innovative routes with the aim of improving the sustainability of the food industry through the valorization of by-products that provide value-added solutions. How do we do it? Through the implementation of new technologies and innovative applications in different industrial sectors with the collaboration of companies such as:

  • Tratamiento Subproductos Agroalimentarios, S.L. | TRASA
  • Ingredalia, S.L.
  • Ródenas y Rivera, S.A.
  • Pinturas Ayelenses, S.L.
  • Consulting Fresh Business, S.L.

In collaboration with our partners, in the EXTRAVAL project we work with vegetable residues from pepper, tomato, cruciferous or residues from the fishing industry such as crustacean shells to obtain from them new ingredients, antimicrobial products, antioxidants and flame retardants.

The Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI), through the Missions Program, has approved the EXTRAVAL initiative, RESEARCH OF INNOVATIVE ROUTES FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE SUSTAINABILITY OF THE AGRI-FOOD INDUSTRY THROUGH THE VALORIZATION OF ITS BY-PRODUCTS. The consortium project, of which Cabomar is a part, has been subsidized by CDTI.

The project has been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) with the aim of promoting technological development, innovation and quality research.
