Cabomar is a company dedicated to the processing of frozen, fresh, and chilled seafood products, specializing in the retail and food service channels, with a presence in more than 20 countries across Europe. It has a team of over 200 people who share the goal of offering customers tailored, high-quality products, produced in an honest manner and with a commitment to efficient operations, applying continuous improvement across all manufacturing processes and innovating to find new ways of adding value to raw materials and resources.<\/p>\n

Objective<\/strong>
\nThe objective of this policy is to establish the necessary guidelines to promote responsible energy consumption and minimize greenhouse gas emissions at Cabomar. Furthermore, this policy defines the strategic objectives and measures adopted by the organization within the framework of its commitment to environmental sustainability. In this context, Cabomar reaffirms its commitment to sourcing raw materials from sustainable origins, prioritizing suppliers who share the company’s environmental principles and implement responsible practices aimed at protecting biodiversity and conserving ecosystems.<\/p>\n

Scope of Application<\/strong>
\nThe content of this policy applies to all employees, part-time workers, interns, and contractors performing duties on behalf of Cabomar Congelados S.A.U., regardless of their location or hierarchical level.<\/p>\n

\n– Strictly comply with current environmental legislation and promote compliance among our customers, employees, suppliers, and partners.
\n– Assess the impact of environmental aspects generated in order to prevent, eliminate, or minimize them.
\n– Promote pollution prevention by minimizing negative impacts on the environment, with particular consideration given to energy and fuel savings, as well as other environmental impacts such as atmospheric emissions, noise pollution, and water consumption, all of which must be minimized for the benefit of everyone.
\n– Optimize energy consumption in facilities through efficient technologies and control systems, while promoting the use of renewable energy sources and actively working to reduce the carbon footprint, especially in refrigeration and transportation processes.
\n– Implement measures for the efficient use of water in industrial processes.
\n– Ensure the safe and responsible management of waste and by-products.
\n– Select sustainably sourced raw materials, prioritizing suppliers who share the organization’s environmental principles and adopt responsible practices that contribute to the protection of biodiversity and the conservation of ecosystems.
\n– Promote the use of recyclable or reusable packaging, reducing the environmental impact of products.
\n– Provide continuous training in environmental best practices and foster a culture of sustainability at all levels of the organization.
\n– Establish clear and measurable annual environmental objectives, reviewing performance on a monthly basis to identify opportunities for improvement.
\n– Encourage innovation in processes and technologies that contribute to sustainability.
\n– Communicate environmental policies, objectives, and achievements transparently to stakeholders.
